You can create custom audiences based on the actions someone took in your funnel.

But the best way to do it is by using the Facebook Analytics funnel visualizer tool.

Using a funnel tool will allow you to overlay a custom audience segment to see whether the conversion rates increase or decrease.

This will allow you to decide the best custom audience to use towards creating a lookalike because you can get a better idea of what the conversion rates would be like before hand.

Saving you time, money, and getting you way more results in the process.

First, you need to visit the 'Facebook Pixel Analytic Dashboard'.

Then you need to select 'create new dashboard'.

Once you have a blank dashboard open...

Simply select add a 'funnel chart' and map out your pixel conversions in the order they happen in your funnel.

This is a funnel example for a lead based business...

So if we where to create a lookalike based on all website visitors in the last 60 days we could expect to get an average funnel conversion rate of 1.3%.

So if we apply a segment to the funnel and only have it show us website visitors who viewed at least 3 pages in the last 60 days we can expect to get a funnel conversion rate of 8.44%...

We also created a segment based on people who submitted an application in the last 90 days...

And the conversion rates in the funnel went up to 41.4%!
