Not only that but the more data your pixel has the smarter and more intelligent it becomes...
And if your pixel continues to get smarter and more intelligent from the data you feed it...
Then your pixel is going to optimize more effectively for you. Ultimately leading you to even more results...
1. Place your pixel on your website.
You'll want to make sure the pixel is on every single page of your site so you can start tracking all the actions, events, and submissions that happen on your site.
2. Add standard and custom conversion events.
Your pixel can only know how to place a conversion event for so many actions on your site...
So you'll need to make sure you've added either standard conversion events or custom conversion events to your site to ensure you track every little detail.
For example, you want to make sure every form is firing an event called 'lead' then you want to know when someone views a product so you have an event fire 'view product'. And you continue to do this for the rest of the events...
The more conversion events you can track the more your pixel can understand the buyer journey...
3. Add Catalogs
If you have products on your site... Then you're going to want to connect a product catalog...
This is going to pass the right data over to your pixel so it can understand your products, inventory, pricing, etc.
Catalogs will also allow you to run dynamic retargeting and get super custom with your ad messaging and targeting approach...
Once again making your pixel even more powerful...
4. Add Properties
This one is so overlooked that it makes me sick that so many people never do this...
You need to connect your Instagram page to your business Facebook page...
Then connect your business Facebook page to your Ad account...
Then you need to verify your domain with Facebook and connect it to your ad account...
Then you need to create an event source group and put all of these connections under it...
Then you need to create a line of business and have the event source group connected under it...
Now, if you don't verify your domain with Facebook then Facebook is not going to trust you...
Verifying your domain is one of those things that secretly increases your reach.
Which ultimately gives you more data...
5. Connect offline events
Most people do not know how to connect this one but it's much easier than you'd think...
Here are some quick ideas...
If you have a Stripe account have Zapier send the data to Facebook every time a purchase is made.
If you have a POS system have Zapier or Facebook integrations send the data from every new customer to your Facebook.
Every time someone enters your CRM from another source outside of Facebook have the CRM send data to your Facebook...
We are not even finished yet and if you implement just some of these...
You will be turned on to an entirely new world of opportunities because your pixel will literally be swimming in data.
6. Share Audiences
This one is a great way to transfer data that you've already built up on other ad accounts...
Just go to your audiences and start sharing the best performing audiences you've created in the past and then share them with your new ad account so you don't have to rebuild them.
7. Connect an SDKs
This one is advanced. But if you have an app make sure to connect it to your Facebook so you can start sending the data over...
Or if you know how to make your website read as an app you can connect it as an SDK too.
Which gives you a ton of advantages...
8. Setup Attribution
With attribution, you can share your Google ad account data with your Facebook data. This allows your pixel to know nearly every step someone took before they converted with you.
